MW2 patch coming soon

fourzertwo just posted that a "big" patch is in the pipeline for MW2. it will fix the Javeline glitch (by the way, they are banning ppl they catch doing that so watch out) as well as all the long wait times and split party issues.

What's the javelin glitch?

O, just looked it up on youtube. That's funny. I think I'm going to try it once or twice before the patch comes out.

That's BS. I know it's a "glitch" but fuck them for banning people for using it. The patch is in the works, but it's their fault the game shipped that way. Sure, it's cheap and stupid to use it, but really, banning people? Lame.

December 2, 2009 - Once a cheater, always a cheater.

Director of Policy and Enforcement for Xbox LIVE Stephen Toulouse stated anyone who tries to execute the "javelin glitch" in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is susceptible to a Xbox LIVE account suspension.

The glitch allows players carrying a rocket launcher to explode in a fiery blaze, killing a large group of opponents in the area.

Toulouse added the suspensions typically last 24 hours for first offenders, but can go as high as two weeks or more if you've been caught before. He also went on to clarify that suspending cheaters on Xbox LIVE through glitching is not new and not specific to Modern Warfare 2.

Infinity Ward Community Manger Robert Bowling, meanwhile, stated the developer is working on releasing a new title update to fix many gameplay issues for the game, which he says will be a "big one."

The update will be available on all platforms.

Yup, they are taking all this really seriously this time around. they don't want another UFO glitch to happen like it did on the PS3. Although from what I have seen the PS3 has already got a ton of leaderboard hackers.
