Possible glitch or maybe just super speedy

A friend of mine told me about this on the PS3 so I am going to try it on the 360 tonight.

equip a class with Marathon, Lightweight, commando and Air Drop as your first kill streak.

get enough kills to earn the air drop and then equip it but don't call it in. no go run around and knife people. you should realize you are running at about 3 times as fast as normal and seem to be able to dodge most attacks.

Not sure if this is due to some glitch or just the fact that you are not carrying a gun.

i have seen some guys on XBL doing this. They were running around stabbing people, they also had throwing knives as they're equipment.

yea, well I did try it last night when we were on and it does seem to work. it is still tuff to get close if they see you coming. but man can you zip around the map. I ended up using the MP5k as my primary and it seems to help since the gun is lighter. but once you equip the air drop man you do take off.
